A page layout arranges the sections of a page on a grid of columns.
When to use
- Any page with a main area and related content beside it.
- Keeping widths and gutters consistent from one page to the next.
When not to use
- A layout the grid cannot handle. Check the grid first before building your own.
- A modal or a drawer. Both have their own structure.
Content
What to write, and what to leave out.
- Put the main task in the main area, and supporting content in the panel.
- A page needs one main heading. The layout does not add it.
